August Chamber Night
|
If you didn’t make it along to the August Chamber evening, you missed out on hearing how the Pareto principle is alive and well in Port Macquarie’s business sector. We heard that around 15% of our businesses employing 74% of our employees, and 17% of business producing 75% of our local gross regional product. 60 members and guests were enthralled by Stuart Goodfellow’s presentation of his research on the landscape of business in Port Macquarie and it certainly generated some interesting questions and discussion.
Stuart has very generously offered to share his data with members, in return for a $50 donation to his favourite charity - Heart Support Australia, Port Macquarie Hastings Region Branch, who are aiming to fund a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory in the Port Macquarie Hospital. For details on how to make a direct deposit donation and obtain Stuart’s presentation, e-mail Kerry at info@portchamber.com.au. Please note, the information will be provided as unpublished data, not to be used for commercial purposes or gain and not to be on-forwarded.
