Port Macquarie Chamber of Commerce

The Port Macquarie Chamber of Commerce has announced online public voting and tickets to the 2018 Holiday Coast Credit Union Greater Port Macquarie Business Awards Gala Dinner are now open to the public.

With over 100 local businesses entering this year’s awards process, the community has plenty of deserving businesses to choose from. Voters are encouraged to submit their selections by either voting online, through the Port Macquarie Chamber of Commerce website, or by visiting any Holiday Coast Credit Union branch to complete and submit a public voting form.

Public voting closes on Tuesday 10th July with finalists announced eight days later on Wednesday, 18th July. Finalists, in each of the thirty four categories, can look forward to their business being highlighted at the Gala Dinner on Saturday, 28th July.

“We are very excited to announce that talented Australian comedienne and actress, Jean Kittson, will be joining us as MC for the Gala Dinner, assisted by ABC Mid North Coast Breakfast Presenter, Cameron Marshall. Guests can expect a very entertaining and clever presentation, with all the usual glamor and glitz this major event is annually recognised for,” said Chamber Executive, Mark Wilson.

Jean came to national attention on ‘The Big Gig’ and is currently featuring in the pilot comedy programme ‘Bleak’, for ABC TV. As an experienced MC, keynote speaker, panellist, debater and facilitator of conventions, conferences, award nights and other after dinner frolics, Jean is an obvious choice in raising the profile of the event.

“As an ‘awards first-timer’, I’m looking forward seeing our hard-working business community dress up, have a bit of fun and be recognised for all the wonderful milestones they have achieved during the past year,” Mark said.

Tickets to the premier event can be purchased by individuals, or tables of ten, from https://portchamber.com.au/event/gala-awards-night-2018/.
